Essential Functions: • Perform calculations related to the sizing and installation of electrical equipment including: MCC’s, lighting, circuit breakers, motors, transformers, wiring systems, switchgear, and grounding systems. • Utilize the National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and requirements of insurers in the development of electrical designs at industrial and commercial facilities. • Develop detailed equipment specifications for electrical distribution equipment, MCC’s, Drives, low voltage field devices, instrumentation, lighting, circuit protection, and power monitoring equipment. • Design power distribution and grounding systems up to 15kV. • Develop motor and process control documents including loop and motor elementary drawings. • Prepare proposals, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering projects. • Analyze data, prepare reports, and deliver presentations on proposed and ongoing projects to internal staff and clients. • Mentor and oversee junior engineers and technicians. • Perform QA/QC reviews throughout the design development process. • Work directly with clients to develop project options and alternatives, provide engineering guidance for project planning and development, field investigations, and critical issues.
