Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineer located at our Sheldahl site in Northfield, Minnesota. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements to support a manufacturing organization. What a typical day looks like: • Interact with production operators and utilize their feedback with the goal of implementing process improvements • Use statistical analysis tools to make data-driven decisions when working on product quality improvement projects. • Previous position supporting 24/5 production manufacturing • Use engineering skills to solve complex problems that leads to improved yield for existing manufacturing processes in our Screen Printing, Photo Imaging, and Chemical Processing areas. • Work closely with the product engineering team to introduce new products to manufacturing that involve a diverse mix of materials and process steps. • Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production. • Develop and maintain process documentation. • Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required. • Lead cost improvement/reduction programs. • Develop and ma1intain process documentation. • Review processing methods. • Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer. • Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer. • Provide equipment maintenance and repair hold up as required. • Guide cost improvement/reduction programs.
