Mechanical Engineer/Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer candidate looking start or advance their career with an award-winning, full-service design and consulting firm! At EAPC, our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers, and other professionals work together to create stunning structures and designs for optimum performance. As a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, you will: • Assist the Mechanical Department Manager as well as individual project managers with the development and management of project budgets, scopes, fees, and production coordination with progression toward independently performing these duties • Work as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary, in-house team of engineers, architects, and BIM modelers working with AutoCAD and REVIT • Use of TRACE for building calculations • Research design options and select equipment, layout duct and piping, create and edit project details. • Review shop drawings, research code issues, and ask general questions of code officials. • Keep the project manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or services through ongoing communication to understand any project changes, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact the initial assignment. • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate mechanical engineering work on projects. • Perform construction management, as necessary, for projects during the construction phase • Must be able to accommodate and meet customer demands within deadlines • Verify and interpret applicable codes and regulations Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering • Passed FE exam, or is on track to take within 6 months of hire • Will consider all levels of experience, 1-3 years of experience preferred • Experience or education in AUTOCAD and REVIT • Preference given to experience with TRACE, Ground Loop Design, and eQuest • Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines • Must possess a valid driver's license • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. This position will report directly to the Department Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary, in-house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians. Job title is dependent on qualifications. Salary Range: $72,000-$80,000/year. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of the posting. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.
