Mechanical Assembly Technician

Mechanical Assembly Technician Eagan, MN | Contract to Hire | $23 - $28/hour We are looking for an entry- to mid-level Mechanical Assembly Technician to support production and development activities. Key Responsibilities • Operate basic shop equipment such as chop saws, drill presses, grinders, and similar tools. • Perform hands-on assembly work while standing or sitting for extended periods. • Read and measure materials using a tape measure (training available). • Interpret shop drawings and prints accurately (training available). • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently (training available). • Safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (please disclose any physical limitations). • Handle final packaging and shipping preparation, which may include counting parts, boxing items, building or wrapping pallets, and securing loads (training available). • Perform approved material-handling tasks, including forklift operation (training provided). Qualifications • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of team members. • Self-directed, dependable, and capable of completing tasks with minimal oversight. • Flexibility to adjust hours when necessary to meet project schedules. • Experience with electrical wiring is a significant advantage. • Experience welding aluminum is also a strong plus. Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing machines and products using SolidWorks, collaborating with team members, creating or troubleshooting prototypes, and supporting the team on various machine projects within the life sciences division.
