Qualifications • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or A.S. in an Engineering-related field accompanied by 7 years of experience. • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering. • Proficient in CAD build software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, Pro Engineer). • Shown understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, vibration, thermodynamics, and mechanics of materials. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on mechanical build. • Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and other relevant software. • Ability to translate customer and market needs into mechanical builds. The Engineering Supervisor works with their design teams to ensure that all projects are being completed with a high level of quality and within the time allowed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Develop improvement plans as needed, recommend merit increases. • Redirect and coach employees whose actions are not in alignment with Douglas Values or whose performance does not meet expectations. • Handle all disciplinary issues within scope of responsibility. Document unacceptable employee behavior, recommend discipline. • Must be able and willing to travel to customers, training, meetings, and conferences as required. Travel up to 10%.
