Pro Mach's Brenton division is seeking a mechanical engineer for our Orion group to contribute to the success of the company by researching, planning, and designing systems. This position reports to the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor and is located in Alexandria, MN. Brenton, based in Alexandria, MN, is a leading manufacturer of case packers, palletizers, shrink-wrapping machines and complete End of Line packaging systems for the food & beverage and consumer packaged goods markets. You will work onsite at the Alexandria, MN manufacturing facility. Will ensure mechanical standards are followed, complete timing charts, hold design reviews, coordinate with other departments to ensure a fully engineered product is sent to production and support these machines on the floor. In this role, you will: • Draft multiple-view assembly and sub-assembly drawings using computer-aided design equipment. • Calculate and lay out dimensions, angles, curvature, and relationship of parts and components using standard drafting practices, equipment configurations and manufacturing technology. • Confer with internal engineering and sales personnel relative to machine specifications, design information, machine capabilities, concepts and problems. • Complete/document engineering changes, changes to design of parts, revising drawing and bill of materials to maintain updated drawings according to drafting procedures. • Prepare Bill of Materials listing parts to purchase or fabricate for assembly. • Draft multiple-view assembly, sub-assembly and layout drawings required for assembly and repair of machines and equipment. • Respond to questions from manufacturing personnel or detailers related to clarification of assembly and detail drawings. • Select commercial hardware and components as identified by design engineer or team leader. • Review project milestones weekly to ensure timely execution of milestones. • Complete other tasks as assigned by Engineering Supervisor.
