Project Design Engineer

Vector Tooling Technologies is seeking a Project Design Engineer who is looking to apply their current skills to a growing company who specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom tooling products for the aerospace and plastics industries. Job Duties & Description • Start to finish design and project management ownership with support and guidance from experienced leadership • Review customer requirements to create full 3D modeled tool designs, and tool prints using Catia V5 (on the job and outside class training available) • 3D and 2D data package creation and release to shop for manufacturing • Coordinate with manufacture work teams on new project releases and manufacturing issues • Review and modify customer provided tool designs for material optimization and efficiency • Material and other subcontracting vendor selection and purchase requisitions • Manage customer design review meetings, status updates and other correspondence • Assist quality team with AS9100D document requirements and audit assistance Skills and Qualifications • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or similar • Emphasis or aptitude for 3D modeling, and creative static and/or mechanical designs • Excellent print reading and mechanical visualization skills • Must be able to work well in a team environment • Understand concerns, and gain cooperation to solve problems quickly and effectively. • Must be efficient and productive with time and possess a good work ethic and good attendance record • Communicate effectively and professionally with manufacturing staff and customers • Versatile team member willing to drive company success and contribute in many different ways About Vector Vector Tooling Technologies specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom tooling products for the aerospace and plastics industries. Provide Quality Assurance leadership externally working with Customers to meet their expectations and with Suppliers to help them meet the companys expectations. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Prepare PPAPs, KPIs, Internal and External CARs • Perform mechanical inspection of machined parts throughout the machining process from first piece to final inspection • Knowledge of working with all conventional inspection tools and gauges such as (but not limited to): micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, Deltronic pins, comparators etc. • Participate in systematic improvements of products and the elimination of defects • Utilize Lean principles to analyze and eliminate reoccurring manufacturing issues • Programs/operates a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) working with PC-DIMS is a plus • Create NCRs on discrepant material/parts and insure that nonconforming product is segregated to the MRB cage. Ensure NCRs are forwarded to MRB members in a timely manner • Ability to work with machinist to maximize the quality of machined products and resolve quality related issues during the first article inspection and in-process inspection • Perform other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to Enable Individuals With Disabilities To Perform The Essential Functions. • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline, currently or eligible to be a Certified Quality Engineer • Strong interpersonal skills, especially when relating to customers, suppliers, and coworkers. • 1+ years of experience in a Machine Shop Environment • 1+ years of experience to set up and perform CMM operations. • 1+ years using manual inspection equipment (i.e., comparators, micrometers, etc.). • Experience with AS 9100, ISO9001 and ISO13485 environment • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) ASME Y14.5M, • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and other common software • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and previous experience with MRP/ERP systems • Knowledge of Solidworks software a plus • Knowledge of CNC programming a plus • Can lift and or move up to 50 lbs. of weight. • Must be able to pass a required background check and drug screening. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

1st and 2nd Shift Openings Weekends & overtime as needed/required The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a key role in supporting daily production operations. This position provides facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, as well as repair and replacement maintenance activities on all primary industrial and secondary equipment. Summary of Job Duties • Prioritize daily work orders to complete preventative and standard repairs, emergency maintenance, and large-scale projects, with minimal disruption to production • Perform assigned preventative maintenance activities and respond to scheduled calls for maintenance support; job duties involve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic activities • Collaborate with team members such as set-up and technicians to diagnose and identify repairs • Responsible for equipment and parts ordering and completing proper ordering documentation • Safely operate forklift and other industrial equipment • Maintain and update documentation and records as required • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions • Ability to professionally communicate and collaborate with all other departments Work Environment This job will be performed in production, warehouse, office, and outside buildings, requiring exposure to varying weather conditions, with moderate to loud noise levels.
