SUMMARY Responsible for all electrical diagnosis and repair on given shift to include the maintenance, service, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidate will have experience in PLC programming using ladder logic and troubleshooting electrical/electronic circuits to the component level. Ability to make repairs to systems, read drawings and schematics, utilize a variety of test equipment and work with low voltages. Must have the ability to work self-guided and be able to prioritize jobs. Position requires good communication skills to adequately relay the state of equipment and estimated repair time to others. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner. • Individual must have experience in Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Square D PLC logic programming. • Individual must possess electrical circuit troubleshooting skills. • Experience in an industrial environment as well as the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches and schematics. • Must be familiar with related test equipment and three phase 480V circuits. • Experience with 480V and below. • Must be a dedicated, hard-working self-starter. • Experience in the repair, installation and troubleshooting of commercial industry machinery, robotics, plumbing, and/or physical building structure is desired. • Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and any other PPE that is required in the performance of the responsibilities of the position. • Work safely and maintain a safe, clean work environment, and perform available work as required by the supervisor. • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed and to take on additional assignments as requested by management. • Maintain 5S standards. • Weekly on-call 6 times a year max. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Formal technical training in electronics with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the craft. Robotics background preferred.
