Position Summary Performs a variety of general electrical, mechanical, and preventive maintenance as well as inspections, servicing, repairs and/or installation of equipment. Position Accountabilities Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Performs minor repairs on electrical equipment, machinery, and the buildings and facilities; including painting, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical power. Repairs woodwork using carpentry tools. Prepares paint and applies to various structures. Uses plaster and brick to repair and maintain buildings and facilities. Performs maintenance, repair, or replacement of broken parts. Caulks leaks, opens clogged drains. Removes snow using snow removal power equipment or shovel. Maintains driveways and parking lots. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies. Coordinates preventative maintenance with emergency and repair work Checks and replaces broken electrical switches and makes other electrical repairs. Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION NARRATIVE: Will be expected to service, repair and maintain the districts fleet of buses, light vehicles, and equipment. May also require bus driving when necessary. It is also critical that a mechanic be able to get along with people and follow directions. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge: Must be a high school graduate and a minimum of two years experience as a line mechanic or similar training. Valid CDL with P&S endorsements preferred. Machines/Equipment: Able to weld, operate drills, presses, jacks, air tools, tractors and mowers, & other required tools. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
