About This Role The Maintenance and Repair Technician II position offers the opportunity to apply general maintenance and repair skills in the Jardine Apartments community. The position offers full-time, regularly scheduled work and a generous benefit package. Duties and responsibilities of this position include: • Diagnose, service and maintain plumbing and electrical systems and equipment. Test and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems. • Independently troubleshoot, maintain, and repair specialized equipment and building systems. • Inspects and evaluates fire and safety systems for operating condition and possible needed repairs; evaluates facilities for pest control needs. • Repair and service building hardware and custodial equipment. Make minor furniture repairs and adjustments. • Coordinate with other departmental staff in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. • Provide an exemplary level of customer service. • Maintain records of work and equipment. Qualifications: • HVAC sheet metal experience in commercial sheet metal installation preferred. • An understanding of mechanical blueprints. • Ability to safely conduct the setting of roof top equipment with crane, boom truck, etc. • Ability to draw up and order duct and sheet metal fitting from the fabrication shop. • Ability to set up and properly leak test ductwork. • Ability to professionally interact with General Contractors and other trades. • Ability to install quality HVAC work in a timely manner. • Previous use of electrical and manual tools required Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements: • Effectively use all required PPE equipment. • Considerable standing/walking. • Ability to climb and work from ladders, aerial lifts, or scaffolding. • Ability to work in tight spaces or uneven terrain. • Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75 lbs.) • Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies. • Manual dexterity and mobility.
