Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Avionics and Electrical Systems Installations Engineer to join our engineering team. This role plays a critical part in all phases of the product development lifecycle for piston, turboprop, and jet aircraft. From new product development to production support, field maintenance of legacy platforms, and aftermarket enhancements, the engineer ensures all avionics and electrical systems installations meet stringent requirements for safety, performance, reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Create engineering drawings for the installation of avionics, electrical equipment, and wire harnesses using CATIA V6. • Assist in developing wiring diagrams and harness assemblies using computer-based wiring tools such as Mentor Graphics. • Support the development of test plans, conformity requests, functional test procedures, and compliance reports. • Collaborate with production and field support teams on design evaluations, troubleshooting, and root-cause/corrective action analysis. • Partner with cross-functional teams across engineering, flight test, customer service, manufacturing, and airworthiness to support project execution. • Perform advanced design and integration analysis for avionics and electrical systems applying mechanical engineering principles. • Prepare certification documents including certification plans, ground and flight test plans, and reports to demonstrate compliance with 14 CFR Part 23/25. • Conduct evaluations and analyses for functional hazard assessments and system safety assessments. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and documentation.
