Responsibilities Location: Wichita, KS • Perform work in an efficient manner as assigned. Train in new methods and advanced technologies as determined necessary and provided by the company. • Work independently and make decisions to complete assignments. • Train other employees in the same job classification. • Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Process Plants Data, order and requisition parts required to accomplish the assigned tasks and input data as directed by a higher-grade employee or manager except as relates to inventory, store, record, issue, and any other duties related to material support technician. • Work in conformance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, blueprints, specifications, trade practice, shop practice and verbal or written instructions. • Maintain any licenses or certificates as required by local, state, and federal codes and regulations within the geographical area, as pertains to the individual skill set performing such work. • Assist with researching, developing, and obtaining new technologies and recommending training to management which may be required to maintain or improve skills of the workforce. • Assist with design and calculation, using appropriate regulation and codes, engineering, and design specifications, and acquired knowledge, requirement for the performance of assets • and systems. • Perform preventive maintenance plans (PMs), as scheduled. Level B Operate, maintain and repair including, but not limited to: • Any type of oil or gas fired boiler • De aerator • Plant air compressor • Control air compressor • Cooling towers Operate and maintain the network of piping systems up to the first valve off the main: • This includes the nitrogen system, natural gas system, plant air system, domestic water system; stand by fuel oil system, hot water heating systems, cooling tower systems • Operate, maintain and repair steam traps, steam regulators and condensate movers • Test systems water and adjust chemical treatment levels on all steam boilers, steam condensate, cooling tower water, hot water heating, and chilled water systems. • Operate supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) to retrieve data for log sheet Qualifications Required: • 2 yrs. related experience. • All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks. • All Candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (workkeys.com) or provide verification that they have passed the WorkKeys Assessment. Mechanical Design Engineer (Simulation)

What you will do: As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will be a member of our New Product Introduction (NPI) development team. In this role, you will influence the conceptual development, mathematical analysis, detailed design, and overall performance of sophisticated products and systems, including the building of and validation of advanced design concepts. You will have highly focused activities on product performance, system ratings development and agency related elements of the programs. As a recognized technical specialist this role may participate in industry Trade organization and agency work and provide support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams How you will do it: • Work with engineers in the development of NPI programs and agency-centric activities, extensive focus on split system expanded technical documentation, and system ratings, and AHRI Ratings compliance. Support activities such as participation in AHRI committees and AHRI certification programs. • Use standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the field. • Implement product design requirements and recommends optimum solutions. • Proficient in mechanical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product. • Utilize mechanical engineering theory and methodologies such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and failure analysis. • Master complex HVAC multifactor simulation software & develop mathematical calculations and formulas using multiple variables, and analyze results. Correlate results to AHRI test standard and DOE compliance requirements. • Establish prototype & test criteria, participates in laboratory testing, and analyzes test data to identify effective product designs that exceed performance, quality, and cost requirements. • Execute competitive benchmarking, yielding insights and opportunities for advancement. • Responsible for the on-time completion of projects. • Generate user documentation. • Continuously increase expertise in all aspects of product design, theory, construction, operation, and applications. • Learn and apply regulatory codes such as DOE, EPA, FTC, AHRI UL, CSA. • Strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment. What we look for: Required • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent. • Minimum 2-6 years of applicable experience • Understanding of HVAC thermodynamics and system models. • Strong interpersonal skills and independent decision-making ability. • Ability to positively influence the organization on a divisional level. About the Manager: I have been working in the Residential/light commercial HVAC product engineering industry for 30+ years. My experience includes work in water source heat pumps, residential AC/ heat pumps, coils, and air handlers.
