Job Details We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the construction industry, with a high degree of focus on MEP systems. As an MEP Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective design, implementation, and execution of MEP systems in our construction projects. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential buildings to commercial complexes. Responsibilities • Design and oversee the installation of all MEP systems, ensuring they meet all safety and performance standards. • Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine the specifications of the project. • Prepare and implement detailed MEP design layouts using CAD software. • Conduct detailed MEP system design calculations and simulations. • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. • Coordinate and supervise the work of all MEP subcontractors. • Ensure that all MEP installations are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. • Troubleshoot any problems that arise with the MEP systems during the construction process. • Conduct quality control checks and inspections on all MEP systems. • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team. • Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress of the MEP systems to the project manager and other stakeholders. Education/Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on MEP systems. • Proficient in the use of Revit, AutoCAD software for MEP system design. • Strong understanding of all aspects of MEP systems, including design, installation, and maintenance. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex MEP issues. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to MEP systems. • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
