Purpose of Position: Develop and support mechanical systems for current and future terminal tractor (TT) projects. Demonstrate a broad understanding of systems and system-interactions for both diesel and electric powered Kalmar (TT). Design subsystems to meet global customer needs, legislation and internal requirements. Key Accountabilities: According to customer demands, choose design solutions, materials, and components. Define specifications for mechanical components and systems. Ensure that components and systems meet specified technical customer demands, product safety, legislations requirements and internal demands for TT products. Perform activities according to specified requirements and time schedules. Contribute toward cooperation between product development, sourcing, and operations. Define component verification and validation test requirements. Collaborate with Test and Validation engineers to confirm system performance. Serve as a technical resource to assist in creating sales and service literature. Positively contribute during team design reviews to further improve. Coordinate work with internal and external engineers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Education Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience • Recent graduates and experienced engineers. • Mobile equipment experience preferred. • Experience with electrical or control systems is a plus. Competencies: Theoretical and applied knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and diesel systems. 3D CAD systems, CATIA V5 experience preferred. 3DExperience preferred. Maintenance Worker - Streets

The City of Ottawa is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Worker - Streets . This position performs manual labor tasks in street repair and maintenance, flood control operations and maintenance, and other maintenance tasks performed by the Public Works Department. The employee in this position will operate vehicles, mechanical equipment, and hand tools to accomplish various tasks. Essential Job Functions: • Make repairs to streets, alleys, parking lots, sidewalk, and bridges, including concrete repairs, pothole patching, and crack sealing. Haul rock, asphalt, and concrete for repairs. • Trim, cut, and remove trees/limbs/storm debris as directed. • Haul snow and assist with removal of snow/ice from roadways. • Grade dirt/rock surfaced streets and alleys. • Dig/clear ditches and other storm water structures with machinery and hand tools. • Operate and maintain flood control gates and pumps. • Paint and install street markings and signs according to established policies. Ancillary Job Functions: • Mow and maintain ditches, levees, parks, and cemetery/airport grounds. • Complete necessary written documentation and reports. • Comply with all City ordinances and policies. • Assist other departments and perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: (Combination of education, training, and experience will be considered) • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must maintain valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. Field Service Technician - Ottawa, KS

Position Summary The Field Service Technician will support our fuel cell products currently installed in electric lift trucks, including performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns. This person will be responsible for the installation and servicing of fuel cells at a specific location. This person will also be responsible for reporting breakdown events, parts ordering and maintenance of fuel cells at a specific location. This position presents a great amount of exposure to customer personnel and electric lift truck operators, and thus requires a person with excellent technical skills as well as communication, interpersonal and motivational skills. Core Duties and Responsibilities • Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites. • Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location. • Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells. • Providing on-call and emergency support service to customers as required • Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required. • May require troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, flammability, cryogenic liquid, high pressure gas and fueling systems. • May include maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support of fuel cells. • Providing regular feedback to regional service representatives regarding fuel cell performance and field maintenance issues. • Completing administrative duties & documentation, including: incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance and site and system documentation. • Exhibiting and enforcing safety procedures in the field or customer sites. • Travel as required for business needs; expected to drive safely and to adhere to all traffic laws • Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions • Perform other duties as assigned.
