Mechanical Maintenance Technician

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.25 - $36.75 per/hour, and your actual base pay knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location. Jennie-O Turkey Store - WAP Maintenance: Mechanical, Boiler Refrigeration, Electrical, Treatment Plant, Jack Shop- Willmar, MN Job Responsibilities 1. Perform electrical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks, including PMs on equipment per area assigned. 2. Perform other duties assigned by Supervisors. 3. Assist other team members in completing work orders/task per maintenance schedule. 4. May be part of the Emergency Response team. 5. Diagnose and perform repairs, calibrations on electromechanical and solid state of the art equipment. 6. Adhere to all NEC code regulations accordingly. 7. Morning bench scale repairs Minimum Qualifications: • Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner. • Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic components as well as read schematics in various departments. • May be required to lift in excess of 40 lbs. at times. • Has general understanding of plant power and utility layouts. • Ability to read/write/communicate in English. • Work experience pertaining to electrical field of 1 year or greater. • Ability to use multimeters and electronic test equipment, read schematics and diagrams. Imaging Field Engineer III

Position Summary: The purpose of the FE3 position is to learn and demonstrate proficiency in servicing equipment with advanced troubleshooting skills while applying good customer satisfaction skills and demonstrating satisfactory work habits. The FE3 will work on an increasing variety of machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in "other related duties as assigned": • Attend and pass manufacturers basic training classes. • Exercise and build proficiency in servicing equipment. • Learn complete assembly and disassembly procedures in the field or shop. • Develop ability to work independently. • Learn to logically troubleshoot machine problems utilizing all available resources. • Demonstrate proficiency in equipment cleanings and PMs. • To maintain, track and protect from damage all car stock and inventory that is issued. • Participate with other Technicians in field training. • Demonstrate acceptable verbal and written communication skills with customers and other employees. • Candidates must posses a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and provide proof of minimum auto insurance coverage as required by state law. • Conforms to company guidelines on dress code and personal hygiene. • Maintain a safe vehicle with secure storage for parts. • Complete all types of paperwork accurately and legibly (timecards, equipment histories, service orders, etc.). • Learn and use communication systems with dispatch. • Read, be familiar with and maintain Field Engineering bulletins and servicing information. • Participate actively in the sales lead program. • Assist the sales force in accomplishing their goals through prompt and effective machine service and communication. • Learn and follow current procedures for return of parts and assemblies. • To act in a polite, professional manner that is beneficial to the reputation of Loffler Companies. • Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written. • Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: • In-office and travel to client sites as required. Education/Experience: One of the following is considered acceptable: • Associate degree in electronics. • Armed forces training in electronics. • Vocational electronics/electro-mechanical training program. • Previous office equipment repair experience. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
