Magnetic Design Engineer

Provide design-engineering services to market and manufacture transformer products, specifically in the pulse and power transformer line and other electronic areas. Engineer must communicate with customers to define their needs and offer suggestions to the complete design of a magnetic component. Engineer must provide accurate information to allow others to quote a project with a complete Bill of Materials and provide a source for the materials used. About this Role – Field Mechanic We are looking for a talented Field Mechanic who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all types of wire pulling and stringing equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicles used for electrical construction projects throughout the region. What You’ll Do • Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools • Replace and repair damaged components • Perform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipment • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repairing all types of heavy equipment, trailers, aerial lift platforms, bulldozer, bucket trucks • Annual DOT and Crane Inspections • Perform vehicle preventative maintenance • Extensive travel required What You’ll Bring • 2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams • Strong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skills • Must possess a valid class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) • Basic understanding of DOT Regulations • Basic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computers • Good organizational and recordkeeping skills • Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout a geographical area • Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment • Customer service skills • High School graduate. • Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one. • Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout the region. About the position The Operating Engineer position focuses on the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment across various systems. The role requires technical expertise in one primary craft area, such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, while also being multi-skilled in other areas to effectively complete daily and weekly work assignments. Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility. , • Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance. , • Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. , • Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment. , • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace. , • Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. , • Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. Requirements • 2-4 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems. , • Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action. , • EPA 608 Type II Certification. , • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel. , • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
