Mechanical Engineer

ISG is looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our experienced engineering team to enhance our already strong capabilities and be primarily focused on ISG’s Food + Industrial, K12, and Commercial Business Units. Team members you may work closely with are Tony Effenberger PE, Mechanical Engineering Practice Group Leader and Austin Eigenberg, Graduate Engineer. As key members of the Mechanical Engineering service, they work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop creative solutions. Essential Duties • Design, specification and analyze mechanical systems for buildings, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other internal teams to integrate mechanical systems into building designs • Perform calculations, simulations, and modeling to ensure system efficiency, safety, and compliance with codes and standards • Plan, produce and quality control design and documentation • Be responsible for production of construction documents and administration for projects • Evaluation of existing mechanical and plumbing systems • Report preparation and presentation to clients • Project development and project management • Coordination with design and drafting staff for production deadlines and quality assurance • Be part of ISG culture, goals and objectives including geographic and project-type diversity • Become a complementary member of our team • Mentor less experienced team members and continue to recruit to bolster team We’ve listed a compensation range that reflects our expectations for this role, including both direct and indirect components. Designer - Mechanical

Description Are you ready to advance your career in mechanical design? As a Mechanical Designer at ISG, you will dive into the world of Revit, blueprint creation, and innovative problem-solving. From drafting to prototyping, you’ll be at the forefront of turning concepts into reality. In addition, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners, along with partnering with Mechanical Engineers to support the production of construction documents and blueprints for different building types. You will be working within Revit to create layout of mechanical systems within buildings. In this role, you will work closely with Tony Effenberger, PE, Mechanical Engineering Practice Group Leader, along with others on the Mechanical Engineering team. You will also collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project coordination, project execution and construction administration. Job Description Perform assigned work to rig, move, install, and erect machinery and equipment involved in plant operations.
