Transmission Engineer I - Senior

Job Brief Whether you are a recent graduate in electrical or mechanical engineering OR you're an experienced electrical engineer seeking a new challenge, Sunflower wants you! Sunflower, a generation and transmission cooperative, has an opening in the Transmission Engineering department in Wichita or Great Bend, Kansas. As the successful candidate, you will get to use your creativity to help design substations and switching stations while also assisting with system protection functions. Have an impact by helping Sunflower achieve the lowest cost, most reliable, and environmentally sound electric transmission and substation infrastructure possible. We will consider all levels of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers ranging from Transmission Engineer I to Senior Transmission Engineer. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution. • Industry experience varies dependent upon the engineering level (I-Senior). • Successful completion of Fundamental Engineering Exam is preferred for Engineer I. • Professional Engineer license is preferred for Engineer II and Senior Engineer.
