Technician, Mechanical - Woodward Gathering, OK

About the position Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors, and associated components. • Overhaul compressors and engines, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup. • Ensure safe, effective, and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities. • Comply with company policies, procedures, and directives. • Perform work on air pollution control equipment. • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment. • Document regulatory and required inspections and duties accurately. • Identify maintenance work and initiate work requests. • Maintain clean facility appearance and safety using good housekeeping practices. • Drive a company-owned vehicle safely within the assigned area. • Diagnose mechanical problems effectively. • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors. Requirements • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country. • Must be 18 years of age or older. • High School Diploma/GED equivalent. • Valid driver's license. • Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location. • Willing and able to climb various ladders and stairs ranging 5 to 20 feet in height. • Able to raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds. • Occasionally exert pulling force of 130 pounds. • Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on uneven terrain. • Work inside or outside in various weather conditions. • Work alone a high percentage of the time. • Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime as needed. • Willing to work extended hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Able to work a rotating call-out schedule. • Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment. Nice-to-haves • 2 or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related internal combustion engine industry. • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word. • Intermediate proficiency with Apple IOS programs for i-Phone and i-Pad. • Knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA, Process Safety, and MOC. Function: Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary: The Rotating Equipment Engineer serves as a subject matter expert for rotating equipment, serves as a resource for piping systems and stationary equipment where needed and leads efforts to ensure site machinery practices & documentation comply with the PSM Mechanical Integrity standard. Job Description: Job Description: • Serves as a subject matter expert for rotating equipment; also serves as a resource for piping systems and stationary equipment where needed. • Leads efforts to ensure site machinery practices & documentation comply with the PSM Mechanical Integrity standard. • Supports reliability technicians with breakdown of data gathered during condition monitoring rounds, and issues recommendations based on this information. • Works with site maintenance team to ensure machinery repairs are performed according to specifications and best practices and are properly documented. • Develops & updates maintenance procedures for critical tasks related to rotating equipment. • Coordinate site Rotating Equipment Safety and Reliability Audits. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations. • Tracks and reports MTBF for site rotating equipment and develops plans to increase MTBF and reduce maintenance cost. • Leads troubleshooting efforts related to rotating equipment issues onsite. Conducts failure analyses & reports on findings to avoid recurrence. • Provides technical support for emergency machinery work off-hours as needed. • Serves as site representative on corporate best practice team for rotating equipment. • Manages projects for upgrade or replacement of site machinery and auxiliary equipment. • Assists in the specification and review of new rotating equipment prior to purchase and recommends proper selections including spare parts lists. • Acts as the mechanical acceptance specialist on newly installed rotating equipment to assure proper installation and that the equipment will be mechanically reliable. • Provides input for equipment condition monitoring onsite, including vibration analysis, oil sampling and analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic inspection techniques. • Supports reliability technicians and inspectors with analysis of data gathered during condition monitoring rounds, and issues recommendations based on this information. • Manages projects for upgrade or replacement of site mechanical equipment. • Assists in the specification and review of new equipment prior to purchase and recommends proper selections including spare parts lists. • Acts as the mechanical acceptance specialist on newly installed equipment to assure proper installation and that the equipment will be mechanically reliable. • Designs & implements predictive & preventive maintenance programs for critical equipment. • Assists the maintenance department with planning of site turnarounds, shutdowns, and special projects. Provides input with regards to schedule, development of job lists, ordering of parts and materials, sequencing of jobs around a critical path, and sizing of work crews based on job estimation. • Performs reviews of inventory spare parts and submits recommendations for inventory adjustments. • Effectively communicates reliability concerns to management and other affected personnel. • Oversee the development of basic design, detailed engineering, and procurement- related activities of Rotating Equipment such as pumps, compressors, blowers, and turbines. • Assist plant engineering with work related to fixed equipment as circumstances require.
