Technician, Mechanical - Woodward Gathering, OK

About the position The Mechanical Technician at Phillips 66 will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown repair of various mechanical systems, including natural gas engines and compressors. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment in compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors, and associated components. • Overhaul compressors and engines, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup. • Ensure safe, effective, and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities. • Comply with company policies, procedures, and directives. • Perform work on air pollution control equipment. • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment. • Document regulatory and required inspections and duties accurately. • Identify maintenance work and initiate work requests. • Maintain clean facility appearance and safety using good housekeeping practices. • Drive a company-owned vehicle safely within the assigned area. • Diagnose mechanical problems effectively. • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors. Requirements • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country. • Must be 18 years of age or older. • High School Diploma/GED equivalent. • Valid driver's license. • Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location. • Willing and able to climb various ladders and stairs ranging 5 to 20 feet in height. • Able to raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds. • Occasionally exert pulling force of 130 pounds. • Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on uneven terrain. • Work inside or outside in various weather conditions. • Work alone a high percentage of the time. • Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime as needed. • Willing to work extended hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Able to work a rotating call-out schedule. • Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment. Nice-to-haves • 2 or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related internal combustion engine industry. • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word. • Intermediate proficiency with Apple IOS programs for i-Phone and i-Pad. • Knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA, Process Safety, and MOC. Petroleum Engineer FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt Salary: BOE Location: Hobbs NM, Perryton TX, Woodward OK Mewbourne Oil Company believes in developing well rounded engineers by providing training in all disciplines of operations, including drilling, completion, production, and HSE. Our “boots on the ground” philosophy puts operations engineers as close to the wellsite as possible to streamline supervision and ensure efficient and responsible operations. Possible Ares of Responsibility: • Drilling: design and supervise the drilling process, select the drilling techniques, equipment, and materials needed. • Completion: Design and wellsite supervision of perforating, hydraulic fracturing, acidizing, and drill-outs. Material sourcing and logistics related to each. • Production: monitor production rates and implement strategies to maximize extraction efficiency. This may involve artificial lift design, surface equipment design, chemical program design, evaluation of compression, emission control design, automation, troubleshooting problems such as equipment malfunctions or wellbore integrity issues. Design facilities for separation and measurement of oil, gas, and water. Coordinate pipeline connections to midstream providers. Possible Additional Duties: • Troubleshoot problems related to each discipline. • Analyze data and performance metrics to drive future efficiency gains. • Write procedures and AFEs for projects. Manage project budgets and expenses by estimating costs for equipment, materials, and labor. Identify cost-saving opportunities and strive to optimize project economics. • Stay up to date on industry advancements and research new technologies to improve extraction techniques, increase production rates, and reduce environmental impact. • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, landmen, drilling crews, and environmental scientists, to achieve project objectives collaboratively. • Maintain detailed records of operations, including drilling logs, production data, and environmental monitoring reports, and prepare technical reports and presentations for management and regulatory agencies.
