Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary: This position provides technical support for a variety of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes, including automation of material movement and / or machine capability. Supports Agiliti’s manufacturing excellence strategy by delivering operational results across the assigned manufacturing plant and collaborates closely with cross functional teams to maximize production efficiency. Responsibilities For This Position Include: • Participate effectively in the Design Reviews on new and existing products with Design Engineering and make recommendations for ease of manufacturing, and to improve cost, quality, and schedule. • Design and / or recommend equipment, assembly aids, and tooling required to manufacture products. • Develop, plan, and coordinate the implementation of shop or assembly line layouts for improved material flow, increased plant capacity, placement of new equipment, optimizing existing shop capacities, new production processes and scheduled plant expansion. • Investigate, select, justify, and procure manufacturing tools, including capital equipment to improve production. Continuously analyze new methods for reductions in labor and material costs. • Serve as the manufacturing liaison between Engineering Department and Production Team for both new product introduction, and sustaining engineering. • Provide shop floor Engineering support in areas such as problem solving, tooling, equipment, and painting process. • Moving step-by-step through factory topics with Industrial, EHS, and Quality engineers to ensure manufacturing instructions and standard works are always accurate and representative of actual processes on the floor. Provides data to analyze and measure process performance. • Provide technical support in troubleshooting effort by analysis and correction of both processes and equipment problems to maintain or improve existing site operations. • Effectively control release of automation files, routing, and / or work instructions. • Manage and coordinate multiple project priorities and work effectively across the organization in completing projects on time and in budget. Required Qualifications: • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of technical advances in manufacturing processes, material composition, automation of material movement and / or machine capability. • CAD skills for the creation of fixtures, tools, device modifications, and assembly aids. • Must be able to produce high quality and accurate work in a timely manner to meet the production schedule. • Serve on various teams to enhance operations at plant site as requested by supervision. • Other project assignments as requested by management. • Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude passion for continuous improvement. • Previous work experience in machining, fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly environment. • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment. • General knowledge of metrology including use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines). • Prefer a Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial technology, Technical Science, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar Engineering field or 5+ years of practical experience in technical design. Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods. • Ability to perform repetitive operations. • Ability to lift 35 lbs. Mechanic

Currently running Spring/Summer schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Fall/Winter schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Job Purpose and Objectives: Performs skilled and semi-skilled mechanical and electrical work on small and heavy equipment, and vehicles assigned to the Ellis County Public Works Department. Essential Functions: • Performs diagnostics and repairs on all gasoline-powered small engines and automotive equipment and vehicles and on all diesel-powered tractor trailers, agricultural and construction equipment, and vehicles • Uses computer and related software for diagnostics on equipment and vehicles • Inspects and services related vehicles and equipment on a regular basis • Disassembles defective equipment and vehicles and replaces defective parts • Cleans the shop area, stores tools, and orders parts for purchase as needed • Repairs engines, transmissions, drivelines, hydraulic systems, and brakes on equipment and vehicles • Overhauls transmissions and gas and diesel engines • Operates all equipment and vehicles as needed • Performs field repairs on work location when needed • Upfits and strips equipment and vehicles of electrical and non-electrical aftermarket additions when bought and sold • Conducts oil and filter changes as well as tire repair and replacements on all equipment and vehicles • Performs welding and fabrication to repair or improve equipment or vehicles when required • Welds parts, equipment, and machinery when required • Enforces and maintains compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances • Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary • Complies with all organizational and departmental policies and procedures • Operates all job-related equipment, machinery, tools, and other aids as required or needed • Protects and maintains any confidential information, whether oral, written, or electronic Position Requirements: • High school diploma or other equivalent • Two years of mechanic experience preferred Certifications / Licenses: • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: • Knowledge of equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair • Ability to weld, fabricate, and use welding tools • Ability to operate all shop equipment and two-way radio • Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics • Ability to operate a computer and diagnostic scan tool and associated software and websites such as Road and Bridge, Asset Essentials, SIS, NAPA, S&W, Hastings, and My CAT • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work • Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently • Assess situations rapidly and make logical decisions in a timely manner • Analyze facts and exercise sound judgment • Ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities simultaneously • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Problem solving and critical thinking skills • Strong math, spelling, computer, and calculator abilities • Ability to communicate in a professional, calm, and courteous manner with the general public and employees • Attention to detail

The starting pay for this position is $38.46 per hour.
