Mechanical Designer Responsibilities • Support the design department with projects such as, but not limited to: producing models, shop drawings, cut files, bills of materials, purchased item lists, and other associated project documents. • Design modular conveyors for the food & beverage industry. • Work through the revision and approval process and document revisions as needed. • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting design or layout. • Coordinate with design lead and fabricators to design, layout, or detail components and systems to resolve design and/or other issues. • Assist in constructability reviews with design lead, project managers, and other shop personnel to ensure products are designed with shop capabilities and the customer's process in mind. Mechanical Designer Qualifications • High school diploma, trade school, or equivalent experience. • Minimum of three years of mechanical design/experience, designing modular conveyors preferably in the food and beverage industry. • SolidWorks: 3D design is required • Must have experience designing modular conveyors. • Assist in developing and following project work flows, design processes, and drafting standards.
