Job Overview This position is responsible for working directly with a customer, delivering detailed analytical concepts, and backing up those concepts with fully developed SolidWorks 3D CAD drawings and specifications that can be used in production. The successful candidate for this position will be able to take a project from the conceptual stage through to completion, and at times, supervise installation at the customer location. Responsibilities and Duties This position is responsible for the following: • Perform initial and ongoing design reviews • Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for process improvement • Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project • Develop SolidWorks 3D CAD project drawings • Collaborate with Project Managers on purchased components decisions and schedule • Troubleshoot design and assembly issues during assembly process • Troubleshoot design and assembly issues on site at customer location 2 Revised 9/16/19 Qualifications The qualifications for this position include: • 4-year degree in Engineering (mechanical specialization preferred), or at least 5 years of engineering work experience. • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software and engineering procedures regarding project detailing. • Excellent prioritization and project development skills. • Ability to listen effectively and follow specific directions. • Knowledge of general industrial safety guidelines. • Must be team oriented. • Must be willing to travel as required. • Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
