ABOUT THE ROLE The Mechanical Engineer will provide support to the operation and maintenance of the plant's equipment. They will also be responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs. The Mechanical Engineer will also be a part of the Amrize US Build4Growth Program. This is an extensive, 14-month cement manufacturing learning and development program designed to provide new graduate engineers with foundational knowledge and experience on the main operational areas of our cement plants. This program is built on a blended learning approach including online learning, face-to-face sessions, on-the-job assignments, and projects. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH • The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant. • Responsible for monitoring reliability based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring. • Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment. • Management of the preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability. • Analysis and elimination of repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques. • Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment. • Responsible for the facilitation of continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability. • Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners. • Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions with specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group. • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience. Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field. Required Work Experience: 0-3 years Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Travel Requirements: 5% Additional Requirements: • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
