Overview: The Mechanical Engineer PE II Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include: • Responsible for signing and sealing engineering documents. • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems. • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects. • Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects. • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment. • Performs work with a high degree of latitude. • Handles the most complex issues. • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor. • Direct interaction with clients. This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Engineering Director. Qualifications: Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) License. • 6-8 years of experience. • Possesses expert knowledge of the subject matter. • Critical thinking skills. • Problem-solving skills. • Mathematic skills. • Computer skills. • Technical expertise. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications • Master's degree in Engineering. Travel Requirement • 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical/Work Environment Requirements • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles. • Climbing stairs. • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. • Operating machinery and/or power tools. • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind. • Noisy environment. • Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds. Process Engineer - Mechanical

As a member of Garver's Fayetteville Water Design Center, the Process Engineer - Mechanical will be responsible for taking projects from conceptual planning to bid ready documents under the direction of Senior Process Mechanical Engineers. This may include facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, equipment vendor coordination, management and coordination of support discipline activities, and coordination with regional offices and regulatory agencies as well as performing quality reviews of other teams’ designs. This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of design tasks related to water and wastewater facilities, such as: • Design of water and wastewater treatment processes • Support of water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementation • Pump selection and pump station design • Chemical storage and feed system design • Blower sizing and blower system design • Mechanical equipment selection • Piping and instrumentation drawing production • Specification and Contract document preparation • Support of construction projects • Oversee the development of construction drawings, and 3D models Requirements: The successful candidate for this role with Garver will possess the following minimum requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering from an ABET accredited program • 5 or more years of direct design experience • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) • Strong communication skills as required to collaborate project designs with multi-discipline project teams • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook. Preferred Attributes: • Master's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological or related engineering discipline • Design experience of lift stations, booster pump stations, and water treatment processes. • Experience working with and leading a multi-disciplinary team comprised of civil, structural, building mechanical, electrical, and Instrumentation and control disciplines. • Active participation in local professional organizations.
