The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for managing production projects to ensure they meet financial objectives and are executed effectively. This role involves developing and implementing the industrial processes necessary for production. The engineer collaborates closely with both production and design teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and profitability of the production process. Manage programs using PMP and APQP project management methodologies for tracking and control. 2. Analyze technical specifications associated with the program. 3. Control and monitor project budgets. 4. Determine criteria and evaluation characteristics for the process. 5. Analyze risks and ensure proper communication and dissemination. 6. Industrialize or reindustrialize projects and identify opportunities to improve production processes. 7. Draw up technical specifications for industrial processes. 8. Define and implement equipment, tooling, and production procedures. 9. Identify resource requirements and train operators and technicians. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering or related field 2. Proven experience in product launches and implementation of manufacturing processes. 3. Proven ability to lead Engineering teams. 4. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies, Lean Manufacturing. 5. Reading drawings from different OEMs and GD&T. COMPETENCIES 1. Scope of the Job: The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer will develop, test, and implement modern manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling into existing factories in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The position will work with the advanced manufacturing engineer and manufacturing controls engineer positions to develop automated or semi-automated production systems. It will also collaborate with manufacturing launch of new or revised products to leverage advanced manufacturing methods. Priorities include development of quick change / high flexibility fixturing, and custom built automated production systems. Manufacturing Mechanical Engineers are tasked with a variety of crucial duties that ensure the reliable operation of mechanical systems and processes within a facility or organization. Their primary responsibilities include: • Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfill requirements. • Analyzing problems or deficiencies and developing solutions to resolve them. • Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs. • Creating plans and designs using CAD technology. • Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project. • Creating detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications for manufacturing and construction purposes. • Performing structural and thermal analyses to ensure the integrity and efficiency of mechanical systems. • Leading and participating in design reviews, offering technical expertise and recommendations for improvement. • Developing manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. • Researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
