The objective of this position is to provide technical support to manufacturing and process development of precision aerospace bearings. Principle responsibilities are to solve technical problems supporting production, and manage technical projects to completion. This may include machine rebuilds, corrective actions, new product launches, lean activities, tooling design, etc. Responsibilities • Supports the ME team at all levels & operations with required technical and general support • Interpret and maintain manufacturing process documentation (i.e. routers, RWPs) • Perform Engineering analysis to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Actions • Identify new technologies to improve process capability, and increase process controls • Review engineering designs and documentation for manufacturability • Define manufacturing processes and maintain detailed manufacturing instructions for complex manufacturing product • Design tooling & fixtures for manufacturing and validation of product • Coordinate the acquisition and implementation of capital equipment/expenditures • Implement process documentation and provide training for production personnel • Actively participate in the engineering change process • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications: • B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. • Experience with computer skills, particularly in MS Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software. • Effective communication skills and a strong understanding of safety protocols are also essential for success in this role. • Proficiency in CNC programming, including 4-axis milling and 3-axis turning, is required. • Strong organizational, mechanical, and mathematical skills are essential for success in this role. • Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and ensure blue print compliance • Advanced Knowledge and utilization of GD&T, schematics and relevant test and inspection equipment • Must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in bearing or grinding technology • Experience in a Manufacturing Aerospace, Defense or other regulated industry RBC Bearings Incorporated (NYSE: RBC/RBCP) is a leading international manufacturer of highly engineered precision bearings, components and essential systems for the industrial, defense and aerospace industries. Improve quality pro activity by ensuring quality controls (PFMEA, control plan, work instructions) are robust enough to detect defects and minimize internal failure. Close corrective actions and RGAs on time, react to high scrap occurrences with structured problem solving • Support OTD by troubleshooting production problems, equipment, fixtures and processes. Improve processes where available with scientific molding techniques and through use of preventative maintenance. Desired Skills and Experience: • BSME, EE or Mfg Eng. or equivalent; 5 yrs.
