Summary: Working closely with the supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Perform duties to repair and maintain mechanical systems, machinery and equipment • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility • Identify ways to improve maintenance effectiveness and productivity • Maintain an inventory of tools that allows you to perform the job in the most efficient manner • Maintain a clean and organized work area Education/Experience: • High School Diploma (or GED) required, trade or vocational schooling preferred • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role • Welding with, ARC, MIG, and TIG experience preferred Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of Plant and equipment processes • Knowledge of safety requirements for the appropriate equipment • Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools • Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics • Good written and verbal communication skills • Strong troubleshooting skills • Strong computer skills • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime #INDShelton
