Vishay Tansitor, Bennington VT, is currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer responsible for the support and development of new production parts, tools, equipment, and manufacturing procedures using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Supporting Process and R&D engineering teams in the manufacture of Wet Tantalum Capacitors. Job Location: Vishay Tansitor is located in Bennington, VT and is the world’s number one manufacturer of wet tantalum and conformal-coated capacitors worldwide. Tansitor has approximately 100 employees between 3 shifts. Pay is $75,000-$95,000. What you will be doing: • Work with Process Engineering and R&D teams to update, develop and design tools, fixtures, mechanisms, and machines in support of the manufacture of Wet Tantalum Capacitors • Create drawing documents and procedures using Microsoft Word, Excel, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Solidworks. • Work with R&D and Process Engineering to identify and resolve process issues or discrepancies related to product materials and or manufacturing tools/equipment. • Update previously - released documentation through ECN (Engineering Change Notice) • Support purchase of production materials by taking care of material selection, treatments, tolerancing and inspection • Submit drawings to internal and external machine shops for the manufacturing of tools and fixtures • Develop project documentation for automation companies upon identification of a new machine requirement • Conduct and participate in product testing to validate design performance and indentify areas for improvement • Maintain and modify as needed plant layout drawings What you will bring along: • Bachelor degree or technical degree, preferably mechanical in nature • Strong 3D CAD skills, Autodesk Inventor and or SolidWorks • Some manufacturing and process experience preferred • Direct experience working with blueprints /technical or manufacturing prints • Familiar with ASME Y.14 drafting rules • Computer literate in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks • Excellent English communication skills: both written and verbal • Must be able to follow instructions as well as work independently • Must be able to analyze, problem solve and determine root cause and create a solution or plan for change • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and customers and who builds good working relationship • Problem solver who can resolve problems with both external and internal customers • Detail-oriented, high level of accuracy, work must be consistently mistake-free • Able to prioritize job flows, schedule and manage time efficiently, delivers on action items without prompting and communicates to team in a timely manner • Ability to quickly adapt to new assignments What can we offer you for your talent: Vishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
