Automotive Technician Job Description The primary responsibility of this role is to perform repair and service on customer and dealership vehicles, adhering to management guidelines for productivity, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Review vehicle history and factory bulletins related to the vehicle's make and model, focusing on outstanding campaigns. • Complete system diagnostics and automotive troubleshooting and testing. • Report required vehicle work to management for approval. • Request necessary parts from the parts department and return any requested parts that have been saved by the customer or factory. • Assist team members with customer retention and provide daily status reports. • Perform various vehicle repairs after approval and receipt of parts. • Test drive vehicles as necessary to diagnose and verify repairs. • Inform the dispatcher, advisor, team leader, or electronic technician terminal of job completion and make final notes regarding recommended work.
