Job Title: Mechanical Apprentice Location: Mt. Vernon, IL Project Start Date: December 11, 2024 Pay Range: $19 - $22/hour based upon experience Per Diem: offered for travelers Job Description United Trades of America is seeking **Mechanical Apprentices** with 2-6 years of industrial experience to join our project in Mt. Vernon, IL. Candidates will assist in the installation of pre-fabricated machinery and perform a variety of tasks requiring technical expertise and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities • Cut, measure, and prepare pipe for installation. • Hang supports, bolt steel components together, and assist in the alignment and installation of machinery. • Perform miscellaneous tasks related to mechanical installations, including adjustments and troubleshooting as needed. • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the worksite remains compliant and hazard-free. Qualifications • 2-6 years of experience in the industrial field, preferably with mechanical installations. • Familiarity with tools and techniques for cutting pipe, bolting steel, and installing machinery. • Possession of basic tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. • Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills.
