Manufacturing Engineer

LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near the Crawfordsville, IN area. This is a unique opportunity to join a large, successful organization with a rich history and outstanding reputation in the community. In this role, you will join a well-established Engineering Team and focus on process improvement, project management, problem-solving, and other production-related engineering duties. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $80,000-90,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive medical insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with an uncapped company match. • **Company will not sponsor applicants for Work Visas*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop effective manufacturing processes by evaluating product requirements, determining manufacturability, and designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment to ensure desired results • Apply industry knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and tooling, and materials and collaborate with production associates • Identify and resolve process operating problems, investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the floor • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues during manufacturing process • Complete capital projects and process improvement projects • Participate in and/or lead Kaizen events to improve manufacturing processes, implement Lean techniques, increase quality outcomes, and more • Coordinate with operations and management personnel to develop a shared vision for the completion of daily tasks and then report on those activities • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering staff as well as outside contractors to improve equipment care, services, repairs, and work practice • Monitor and improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow while optimizing space and equipment layout • Identify new and creative solutions to resolve complex issues during the manufacturing process • Handle additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is required • Minimum of three years of manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing facility is required • Must have experience working on the production floor with various types of manufacturing equipment • Must possess the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics • Must possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills • Must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervision • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team • ***Company will not sponsor applicants for Work Visas*** If you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Manufacturing Engineer position located near the Crawfordsville, IN area then please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.
