LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Crawfordsville, IN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the production floor, lead continuous improvement projects, and perform other production-related engineering duties. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $85,000-100,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive medical insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with an uncapped company match. • **Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes by assessing product requirements, ensuring manufacturability, and designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment to achieve desired outcomes. • Leverage expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials while collaborating closely with production teams. • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, investigate equipment failures, prepare follow-up reports, and provide technical guidance to floor personnel. • Perform root cause analysis to address quality concerns during production. • Execute capital projects and drive process improvement initiatives. • Lead or participate in Kaizen events to enhance manufacturing processes, implement Lean principles, and improve quality performance. • Coordinate with operations and management to align on daily objectives and report progress. • Work with maintenance, production, engineering teams, and external contractors to improve equipment reliability, service quality, and repair practices. • Analyze workflows and optimize space and equipment layouts to boost manufacturing efficiency. • Develop innovative solutions to resolve complex manufacturing challenges. • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
