Manufacturing Project Engineer

Job: Manufacturing Product Engineer Location: Lincoln, IL. (Onsite) Type: Full Time Salary: $80-85k w/20k bonus Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and innovative Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving products while ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, along with experience in manufacturing processes and project management. Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production. • Design and develop new products using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and quality assurance to ensure timely project scheduling and execution. • Perform prototyping and iterative testing to validate design concepts. • Create an review engineering documentation and specifications. • Ensure products comply with all regulatory and safety standards • Manage timelines and project budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. • Support manufacturing teams during product launch and resolve any engineering issues that arise. • Maintain detailed documentation of engineering processes, designs, and modifications. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in a related industry. • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. • Strong understanding of product lifecycle and engineering processes. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD). • Experience with prototyping, project management, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). • Familiarity with product testing and validation. • Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
