Position Overview The Manager of Mechanical Design Engineering is a pivotal role situated at our Clinton Clean Energy Center in Clinton, IL. Primary Purpose of Position Oversee and manage our engineering function, ensuring accountability and alignment with station needs and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Lead the engineering function to meet station needs and comply with regulatory standards. • Manage and develop assigned engineering personnel to meet site and corporate objectives, driving high-quality engineering outputs. • Provide technical leadership and accountability for both short-term and long-term programs that influence site operations. • Engage in Business Planning, Budgeting, and Business Performance reviews pertaining to the assigned team. • Act as a senior resource for organization-wide engineering initiatives aimed at optimizing engineering systems and processes. • Undertake additional assignments as directed by management, including emergency response and support during outage activities. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) OR a related science OR an active Professional Engineer license OR an active/ inactive SRO license with 5 years of engineering-related experience, including at least 1 year of nuclear power plant experience. • Compliance with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard regarding the selection, qualification, and training of personnel for nuclear power plants. • Capability to maintain required access credentials or unescorted access as necessary, along with passing medical examinations and assessments as appropriate for job responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications • Professional Engineer registration. • Advanced technical degree or a Master of Business Administration (MBA). • Experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
