The preferred candidate will be a Project Engineer (with opportunities to become a Project Manager) on assigned Airport Projects with the responsibility of completing designs, analyzing data, solving problems, and interacting with clients. Duties/Responsibilities: • Collects data and gathers information or documents • Performs standard computations or analysis • Prepares drawings and visual aids • Observes construction activities and/or basic survey services and completes accompanying reports • Assists on other tasks such as preparation of permit applications, material testing, CADD work, filing air space studies • Performs moderate design tasks and prepares portions of project documents • Edits specifications • Performs research and investigations • Receives supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments. • Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills. Represents the organization in communications and conferences pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; P.E. license is preferred • 1-5 years of experience in airport planning, design, and general civil engineering • Previous consulting experience on FAA and/or DOT projects in the Central Region is a plus • Software experience should include AutoCAD and/or Microstation. In the role of NE/IA Drinking Water Project Manager we'll count on you to: Independently lead multidisciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process design, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water treatment plant upgrades including lime softening, membrane treatment, disinfection, chemical feed systems; water supply improvements including water production wells and well field development; as well as distribution system infrastructure. The project manager will be responsible for independently coordinating the work of staff engineers and CADD/BIM technicians throughout the development of projects while ensuring deadlines are met and within budget. The selected candidate will have excellent writing, presentation, and speaking skills, as they will work directly with the facility owners. The ability to establish client relations is important because they will be involved in client development, marketing, contracting, design, and production.
