Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities include teaching four classes per semester and engage in appropriate faculty service. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate should hold a M.S. or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He or she must be willing to teach a variety of mechanical engineering courses and laboratories as well as some general engineering classes. The candidate will be expected to contribute substantially to the development of the BC School of Engineering. Moreover, he or she is expected to exemplify the integration of the Catholic Faith with the engineering profession. Teaching and industrial experience are desirable. See More Details >>Position: OCA-AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC with Security Clearance Duties As an AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC, WG-8602-10, you will troubleshoot malfunctioning engines and interrelated propulsion system components, determine degree of disassembly or certification required, repair or replace defective components, diagnostic computers and associated hardware. Analyze malfunctions using schematic and wiring diagrams, blueprints, manufacturer's specifications, computer diagnostics data, inspection findings, trending data and aircrew debriefs. Perform engine run operation on installed and uninstalled engines to troubleshoot malfunctions or verify findings. Remove and install engines and auxiliary power units. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period.
