Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. • Qualifications for Candidates Additional Information: The Product Functional Test Mechanical Technician - Level II role is a balance between hands-on mechanic work and test cell associated computer interface. This includes but is not limited to physically installing test articles, software/instrumentation setup, instrumentation data rationality checks, executing test plans, monitoring tests, initial troubleshooting of test facility issues, basic diagnostics of engine system issues, and communicating results. Technicians will also be responsible for test cell upkeep which includes test cell cleanliness/organization, basic instrumentation calibrations, and test cell preventative maintenance per a defined schedule. Technicians will be required to gain expertise in the above listed areas through On Job Training (OJT), applicable computer software training, relevant Cummins Service Training, Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) or equivalent training, along with any other applicable training our team deems necessary. In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the technician will be responsible for a minimum of one team function (vertical task), generating and completing relevant corrective actions, developing/documenting any new or existing work procedures within team discipline, and may facilitate team meetings on a scheduled rotation. Daily core hours for this position are 2:00PM to 10:00PM. Must be willing to work overtime, or flex time as necessary, to meet commitments.
