Position Summary: Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineer Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid/Onsite Work Options HC Solutions Group specializes in the placement of MEP professionals. We work with partner clients nationwide and have career opportunities for Electrical Engineers/Designers throughout the US. The ideal candidate will be a qualified MEP who is able to construct clear diagrams using Revit and AutoCAD. This candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of all steps related to project completion and diligently communicate with necessary people to ensure timely execution. This candidate should also be able to conduct quality assurance checks on a frequent basis in order to ensure regulations are being followed. Those with project experience within commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, K-12 schools, higher education, municipal, healthcare, data centers, sports related, and industrial are encouraged to apply. Position Requirements: HC Solutions Group is currently recruiting for MEP Electrical/Mechanical Engineers, and Designers for in-person, hybrid, and remote positions (based on client work environment). Mechanical Engineering Technician

Description: As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will support project teams (research scientists, engineers, technicians) in the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of mechanical products and systems. You will work with engineers to ensure designs are functional, safe, and cost-effective, assist in troubleshooting issues, and help with prototypes and testing. This is a hands-on role and will not be limited to computer-aided design/analysis. Duties/Responsibilities: • Responsible for modifying existing designs to improve performance, cost, or manufacturability • Build prototypes or test systems based on the engineers' specifications • Oversee and assist in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts or systems • Assist in the testing and evaluation of mechanical systems, components, and materials • Collect and analyze test data, documenting findings and providing recommendations for design improvements • Assist engineers in creating detailed mechanical designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software • Prepare drawings and technical documentation based on engineering specifications • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, quality control, and production staff • Help manage project timelines, assist with documentation, and prepare progress reports Skills/Qualifications: • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and systems • Extensive experience in machining, forming and fastening various materials • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials • Experience with electrical fabrication and wiring • Proficiency in MS Excel and Project • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and teamwork abilities • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines • Must be able to bend and lift 30lbs. • Must be able to perform tasks safely and follow OSHA safety standards Education/Experience Requirements: • Education: Associate's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field • Experience: 7-10 years of experience as a mechanical technician, or a related technical field Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.88 - $36.05 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Referral program • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Application Question(s): • Must be a US Citizen. Mechanical III

ABOUT THE ROLE You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a licensed engineer on a 2.0+ million square foot healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, MN. Other projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO • Perform and direct design of ductwork, piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems independently on assigned projects. Complex projects could be under the supervision of a professional engineer. As necessary assist with Plumbing and Fire Protection Designs. • May supervise or provide project management direction within the mechanical discipline to include the monitoring of project progresses and project budget. • Calculate heating, cooling loads, layout, design ductwork, and piping using energy modeling software. • Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from schematic design to construction administration phases including layout, sketches and detail drawings as required. As necessary perform Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems. • Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects. • Independently research as need arises and respond to emergent issues. • Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units. • Review shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents. • Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team, attend Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings with an understanding and focus on the project budget. • Respond to RFI’s and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents. • Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Attend and participate in construction meetings. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site. • Coordinates work activities on specific projects with several persons with various levels of capability; participates in business development and marketing activities. • Perform other duties as assigned. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED • Minimum ABET/EAC Bachelor degree or equivalent required. • Minimum of 6 years of related experience required. • Current PE in the United States preferred. • LEED accreditation preferred. • Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Able to effectively handle multiple projects. • Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required. • Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
