Mechanical Engineering Intern

Mechanical Engineer Intern Position Summary: Join our dynamic team at Graco as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, where you will work alongside our Mechanical Engineers to design, support, analyze and develop solutions to challenging problems with fluid handling equipment. You will build skills in machine design, failure analysis, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, and problem solving What You Will Do At Graco • Assist in new product development activities, such as: • Mechanical design ideation & collaboration • Hands-on support of project team prototyping & testing • I would keep this one, my interns have done this • Design test plans and perform tests • Analysis of design to applicable standards (SAE, UL, etc.) • Analysis of design using engineering analysis tools and techniques (CREO, Finite Element Analysis, etc.) • Review of instruction manuals and product literature • Work effectively in a team environment • Assist in standard product support activities, such as: • Solve real problems • Troubleshooting product problems in manufacturing, lab or field • Conduct tests and analysis results • Develop and implement design solutions that solve problem • Develop knowledge of: • What it is to be part of a new product development team • Graco product line equipment & applications • Product development considerations such as product cost, project schedules, customer considerations in product design • Operational systems • Graco and industry design standards • Graco Quality Management System • Graco customer applications and requirements • Other duties as assigned What You Will Bring To Graco • Pursuing BS degree in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member • Mechanical aptitude and desire for hands on work Accelerators • CAD software experience such as Solid Works, Creo, etc. At Graco, you truly make a difference. Mechanical Design Engineer

Let's go to work . . . I'm needing a Mechanical Design Engineer in Erie, PA. Successful candidate will be responsible for the structural design of industrial high voltage cabinets - sheet metal fabrications used to house high voltage electrical equipment used in the propulsion system of mining vehicles and locomotives. Additional duties will be: Designing mechanical enclosures for electrical equipment assemblies for shock and vibration loads. - Design of sheet metal fabrications. - Designing cast and molded components. - Design of machined and fabricated components. - GD&T and weld specifications on drawings. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. - 5+ years demonstrated experience in the field of electrical mechanical packaging and thermal design. - Strong NX, Ansys Workbench experience Long term, onsite, contract assignment in Erie, PA. Engineering Technician - Mechanical Testing

Qualifications • The technician must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures • Working knowledge of laboratory safety • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks appropriately • A self-starter and self-disciplined in accomplishing tasks – can ask questions, find answers • Basic understanding of testing concepts • Hands on mechanical experience and ability to prototype testing procedures • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs.
