Project Engineer

Basic Function The Project Engineer will work primarily on special projects, new product development, and engineering-to-manufacturing deliverables. Project Engineers will infrequently assist in supporting functions that serve the needs of the service department. Primary tasks will include research, spec and source materials and components, mechanical and electrical design, producing technical drawings and documents, fabrication, assembly, testing, verification, and generating reports. Role and Responsibilities · New product development o Assist in planning and management of projects o Participate in design review sessions o Design, build, and test equipment o Produce documentation for new products · Engineering Sustainability o Design solutions for equipment related issues o Produce instructions for solutions · Quality Assurance o Ensure adherence to quality management processes Additional Job Requirements: · Able to sit or stand for extended periods when completing tasks · May be required to operate a company vehicle (DOT physical) · Able to lift heavy parts and assist in assembly of new or repair of exiting equipment Education Requirements and Work Experience · B.S. in Engineering or Other Technical Field with 5+ years of applied experience · Experience directly related to fabrication Desired Skills · Technical Problem-Solving and Mechanical/Electrical Aptitude is required of the candidate · Attitude to face all challenges presented · Ability to apply critical thinking and technical knowledge to develop solutions for customer problems · Experience with ISO based Quality System · Experience with API/ASME codes · Experience with automation and industrial control systems · Strong computer and administration skills · Strong organizational and communications skills · Familiarity with P&ID’s, build instructions and CAD principles (Solidworks skills preferred) · Strong shop skills (cutting, welding, fitting, assembly, troubleshooting) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Cell phone reimbursement • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Meadville, PA 16388 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Meadville, PA 16388: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
