Responsibilities • Perform basic engineering calculations to support design and analysis activities. • Make material and equipment recommendations based on engineering principles and project requirements. • Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and test specifications for hydraulic components and systems • Assist in Problem Solving/Analysis with Product Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly teams. • Troubleshoot and test hydraulic components/assemblies for validation and performance optimization. • Plus other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management Qualifications • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering principles. • Strong proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and design. • Experience with FEA tools for structural analysis is essential. • Familiarity with machining/manufacturing processes, material specification, and welding call outs • Knowledge of CNC machining processes is a plus but not mandatory. • Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation. The Engineering Department is responsible for valve design, production engineering, and project management activities. Engineering provides support to other departments including Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality. Robust written and verbal communication capabilities are both a must. • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD • Familiarity with ANSI drawing standards and geometric tolerancing preferred. • Applied attention to detail in order to review work of peers such as checking drawings, customer contract reviews, technical proposals, etc. • Ability to self-manage work in an environment of numerous competing tasks, including wherewithal to ask for help when needed. • Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) and other manufacturing and inspection aspects are preferred.
