Summary As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of engineering tasks to support the design, development, and testing of hydraulic components and systems. In this role, you will make equipment and material recommendations and perform basic engineering calculations during the design process. You will also help test prototypes, validating the components or assemblies. You will help draft technical drawings, a bill of materials, and test specifications for the design. Responsibilities • Perform basic engineering calculations to support design and analysis activities. • Make material and equipment recommendations based on engineering principles and project requirements. • Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and test specifications for hydraulic components and systems • Assist in Problem Solving/Analysis with Product Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly teams. • Troubleshoot and test hydraulic components/assemblies for validation and performance optimization. • Plus other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management Qualifications • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering principles. • Strong proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and design. • Experience with FEA tools for structural analysis is essential. • Familiarity with machining/manufacturing processes, material specification, and welding call outs • Knowledge of CNC machining processes is a plus but not mandatory. • Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.
