Automotive Technician The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex and high-quality automotive repairs and maintenance tasks on district vehicles. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify areas requiring repair or maintenance, utilizing diagnostic equipment and techniques as necessary. • Perform major and minor mechanical repairs, including but not limited to engine overhaul, transmission replacement, and brake system servicing, with minimal supervision. • Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate records of work completed. • Evaluate the condition of vehicle systems, equipment, accessories, and lights; perform necessary repairs and replacements. • Assign routine preventive maintenance tasks to mechanic helper and inspect completed work for quality. Additional Responsibilities: • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Correct unsafe conditions in the workplace and report any issues that cannot be immediately resolved to supervisors. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards for shop equipment and tools. • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
