Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Works independently to diagnose process problems, develop, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, scheduling, and eliminate downtime. • Planning and designing of manufacturing processes and support tooling, manufacturing equipment utilization, layout of assembly, and material handling operations. • Ability to follow safety standards while leading and inspiring workers in a team environment, assist in the training of plant personnel, and promote culture of safety and continuous improvement. • Work with suppliers to develop new ways of working and implement technology where applicable. • Plans, coordinates, and achieves successful launches of projects plant wide. • Cross train through the engineering department and assist in areas as needed. • Ability to generate work instructions and SOP’s and implement on the floor with team members. • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specifications requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor. Education and/or Experience • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related fields • Experience in continuous improvement and lean implementations and project management • Knowledge of different manufacturing methods, metal fabrications, material removal, paint, blasting/deburr.
