Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician- Weekly Pay! Job Description Join a team building the leading innovative product that is the future of electric motors for data centers! The Assembly Technician will work closely with a team of 5-6 solderers and technicians to perform the dis-assembly, re-work, and assembly of the electrical and mechanical components of these cutting-edge motors (roughly 15-20 per day). Once complete, this team will then hand over the product to the Testing department. Responsibilities • Dis-assemble, re-work, and assemble electrical and mechanical components of electric motors using hand and power tools. • Unband, unwrap, and remove the lid of the motor, unhook all components, and remove the inverter and rectifier. • Remove PCB boards and deliver them to the soldering department. • Connect the motor to a small crane to deliver it to the next stage of the process. • Use drills, heat guns, screwdrivers, and various other tools to secure the shaft, metal ring, and guide pins. • Swap out the impeller and remove mounting bolts. • Re-install PCB boards and confirm torque is correct to specifications. • Perform visual inspection of wires and components. • Re-apply sealant and lid. • Use a pallet jack to move crates with motors and a small crane to move motors to the final area for testing. Essential Skills • 1-2+ years of work experience using hand and power tools to assemble a product or device involving multiple steps. • Mechanically inclined. • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds. • Attention to detail.
