Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a Mechanical Inspector II to support quality assurance across all stages of the production process—from raw materials to finished products. This role ensures parts meet customer specifications by interpreting quality standards, purchase orders, and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will help maintain high-quality standards while contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and performance. What you will be doing: • Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the work instructions and PO’s with an understanding of quality requirements, specification and purchase orders • Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings • Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings • Basic understanding of GD&T and use of portable CMM. (FARO, Romer, etc.) • Perform inspection and document in compliance with AS9102 • Create NCR’s and ensure dispositions are completed • Enforce company quality standards with special regard to customer satisfaction; product accuracy and appearance; and on time deliveries • Assist manufacturing departments in implementing quality systems such as: ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal and external monitoring; continuous process improvement; employee training • Assist in maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection/test • Participate in 5 “S” activities as assigned • Assist in MRB activities • Follow all company safety policies and procedures • Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values • Other Responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager Must have for this role: As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. • High School Diploma or equivalent • One year of inspection experience • Use of inspection tools • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and related job documents • AS9102 FAI experience • Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software • Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work well with others • Basic understanding of Polyworks (or equivalent) software Nice to have: • Two or more years of experience in the inspection field • Previous experience working in an ISO AS 9001 organization • Our Sustainability “3D Printing a Better Tomorrow” To perform this job successfully , an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
