The Intern - Manufacturing Engineer position will be located in our HOWMET MEXICO/HOWMET DEL RIO, TX We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Plant HOWMET MEXICO/HOWMET DEL RIO, TX team as a Process Engineer Summer Intern. This position will assist engineering and manufacturing in driving improvements in quality and delivery performance through process control and improvement initiatives. The 2026 Summer Internship Program also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Preferred Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, aerospace,etc) from an accredited institution. • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent analytical skills • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment • Strong organizational skills • Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus About Us Howmet Aerospace Inc. Product Engineer

JOB TITLE: Product Engineer REPORTS TO: President SALARY: based on experience SUMMARY Due to an upcoming retirement, Backer Marathon has an immediate opening for a product engineer. This person will be responsible for product line improvements, and manufacturing process improvements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate materials for improved product quality or cost savings. • Work with designers to automate design process. • Work with sales team to develop designs to meet customer requirements. • Design tooling and equipment to optimize manufacturing process. • Evaluate equipment for possible purchase to optimize manufacturing process. Technical Director - Process/Manufacturing
