This role requires technical expertise in understanding the applications, materials, and safety standards related to various mechanical systems. Hotel Chief Engineer

Hotel Chief Engineer| Hilton Garden Inn Granbury The Hotel Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the hotel’s physical infrastructure. This includes managing engineering staff, overseeing repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and supporting guest satisfaction through efficient facility management. • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Comply at all times with Peachtree Hospitality Management Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. • Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures, and communicate and enforce all policies fairly and consistently with staff. • Supervise and train all engineering staff in SOP’s and Loss Prevention standards. • Adhere to the annual budget for the department. • Post all engineering staff schedules and monitor for overtime and changes. • Develop and implement plans to maintain the property, equipment, grounds, and other assets in an acceptable state of repair. • Ensure that all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per standards. • Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner. • Follow-up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause. Determine emergency status and report findings to the front desk. This position will primarily be responsible for plant engineering design, capital projects, environmental compliance, NERC compliance, and operational and maintenance consulting support. Qualified applicants must have progressive work experience in electrical power generation, or related fields, 4 years minimum. A recognized degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred. However, a professional license in an appropriate discipline from a recognized licensing board or documentation of specialized courses in general engineering or related engineering discipline will be considered. Job Responsibilities • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the resolution/prevention of equipment problems. • Lead or participate in plant Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes to ensure corrective actions, repairs or modifications are appropriate and timely in their execution. • Works with Maintenance and Operations personnel to evaluate and resolve equipment issues. • Maintain records for equipment testing, protection system maintenance, and control systems in accordance with NERC requirements. • Provide comprehensive power plant performance, leadership and support.
