Construction Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor

We’re seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor to lead the commissioning of advanced mechanical systems for high-performance data centers. This role involves overseeing liquid cooling systems, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure, ensuring safe, efficient operation from testing to handover. The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of commissioning experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of high-efficiency cooling technologies. Job requirements • 5-7 years of experience in mechanical commissioning or construction, with at least 2-3 years as a supervisor on data center or high-tech industrial projects. Experience with liquid-cooled systems or advanced cooling technologies strongly preferred. • Education • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred. • OSHA 30-Hour, EPA 608 (Universal), or Commissioning Professional (CCP) certification preferred. Knowledge of liquid cooling systems (e.g., CDU, immersion cooling) is a plus. • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including liquid cooling, precision cooling, and high-efficiency HVAC systems for data centers. • Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, Change Management plans, and commissioning scripts. • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage diverse teams and complex projects. • Familiarity with commissioning software and Building Management Systems (BMS). • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, MS Office Suite) • Ability to work in data center environments, navigate construction sites, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Other important requirements: • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies. • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied. • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work. Job responsibilities Reporting to the Construction Manager the Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for… • Commissioning Leadership - Plan, manage, and execute the commissioning of mechanical systems, including liquid cooling systems, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, and HVAC units, ensuring seamless integration with data center infrastructure • System Testing & Validation - Oversee functional performance testing, system balancing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to verify compliance with design intent, and industry standards • Safety Compliance - Enforce OSHA site-specific safety standards and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring proper handling of liquid cooling fluids and high-pressure systems. • Team Coordination - Supervise commissioning technicians, mechanical crews, and subcontractors, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards. • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, electrical teams, and client representatives to align on commissioning plans, resolve technical issues, and provide progress updates. • Documentation - Maintain detailed commissioning records, including test reports, system checklists, and as-built documentation, to support project handover and acceptance. • Issue Resolution - Identify and address mechanical system deficiencies such as leaks, pressure issues, or thermal inefficiencies implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal performance. • Training & Handover - Facilitate training for facility operations teams on mechanical system operations and maintenance, ensuring a smooth transition to operational status. Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Mill Department) Role & Responsibilities: • Compliance with all safety and housekeeping rules. • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities necessary to keep industrial equipment operating efficiently.
