POSITION SUMMARY A senior-level Mechanical Engineer responsible for directing and coordinating the discipline technical effort on small to large heavy industrial projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • In a supervisory capacity, develops, coordinates and directs a number of small projects or one project of major scope and importance. • Reviews and upgrades budgets and schedules. • Assists the Chief Mechanical Engineer in planning manpower requirements. • Assists the Chief Mechanical Engineer with the development of budgets and deliverables list on proposals. • Promotes and ensures inter-discipline communication at all levels. • Uses and promotes the use of existing design data to standardize design efforts from one job to the next. • Performs other duties as directed by the Chief Mechanical Engineer. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relating to mechanical and electrical systems.
