Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic & Technician Report To: Maintenance Supervisor Type: Full-Time – Hourly – On-Site JOB PURPOSE: We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Mechanic & Technician with strong heavy equipment mechanical background, whose maintenance responsibilities will include but not be limited to the oversight and execution of plant Heavy machinery/equipment mechanical repairs, and optimization for our facility in Brownwood, TX. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Consulting the Maintenance Supervisor regarding vehicle fleet operational status & capabilities. • Preparing work plans/procedures after diagnosing faulty systems on plant vehicle & mechanical equipment. • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair large plant vehicle fleet: (Diesel-Semi tractors Semi trailers, forklifts, Sky track, JLG lifts, etc..) to include Engines, steering, suspension brakes, exhausts, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and HVAC systems. • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair small plant vehicle asset fleet: (plant ½ ton vehicles, mowers, pressure washers, generators, pumps etc..) to include engine, steering, suspension brakes, exhausts, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and HVAC systems. • Perform preventative scheduled maintenance on plant vehicle/mechanical equipment and systems: Grease/Lube, oil changes, filter changes, brake adjustments, tune ups, tire repairs, etc. • Perform post repair operational checks to gauge effectiveness of vehicle/mechanical assets. • Maintain service records/parts inventory of assets to help diagnose end of life span replacement. • Assist on Plant repairs of pneumatic pumps, motorized gear boxes, steam, air, and electrical systems. • Performs other general plant maintenance duties and inspections as required. QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: • 5+ years of experience with semi tractor diesel engine/mechanical/ hydraulic/ pneumatic system repair preferred, or proof of skillset. • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair preferred, or proof of skillset. • Training certificates or proof of knowledge and skillset highly recommended for the position. • Demonstrate the ability to work around hazardous environment in a safe and methodical manner. • Must be able to work at heights over 10 ft as needed. • Must enjoy building relationships, working on a collaborative team, strong communicator and a “go getter” • Position is an on-site role M-F with overtime and weekend work as required VRC Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
