Maintenance Engineer

Join our team as a Maintenance Engineer at G3 Boats in Lebanon MO, and play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of our manufacturing operations. In this position, you'll ensure the reliability of equipment and infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, lead maintenance and reliability projects, and collaborate across departments to reduce downtime and enhance safety. Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Reports To: Quality Manager Department: 1900 Classification: Exempt Summary of Job: The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the optimal operation of the manufacturing facility, including machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This role provides technical expertise on mechanical and electrical issues, defines preventative maintenance plans and strategies, leads equipment upgrades, and supports plant reliability efforts. The Maintenance Engineer works closely with Operations, Safety, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime and ensure a safe work environment. Essential Job Functions: (Responsibilities, duties, and standards of the position, including supervisory level and reporting relationship) • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions to restore functionality. • Design, plan, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for existing and future assets. • Lead and support continuous improvement and reliability projects across the plant. • Support the retention of detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and safety checks. • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to purchase, install, test, and commission new equipment. • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety and regulatory standards. • Provide training for Maintenance Technicians and contractors as needed. • Support spare parts inventory management and equipment documentation. • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, failures, and areas for improvement. • Participate in and lead capital projects, including scope development and vendor coordination. Qualifications and Skills: (In terms of experience, education & training) Education: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred. Relevant substantial experience may substitute for formal education. Experience: • 10+ years in a maintenance or engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Strong background in mechanical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, building infrastructure, environmental aspects, and electrical troubleshooting. Skills: • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices in maintenance. • Must be an Out-of-Box Thinker. Occasional Duties: • Other duties and projects as assigned. Safety/Environmental/Physical Demands: • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environments (noise, heat, machinery). • Will require evening or weekend hours during equipment breakdowns or project deadlines. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Manufacturing Engineer

Primary Function: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for reviewing the producibility of the equipment concepts and designs. The Manufacturing Engineer will suggest design changes relative to manufacturing costs and timelines. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for creating a manufacturing plan for the projects. The plan will include but is not limited to creating a manufacturing package, define material sizing based on manufacturing processes. The plan will also include the required routings for the machining processes, mechanical assembly, controls assembly and working with the QMS team defining any inspection/qualification requirements. The Manufacturing Engineer will create equipment setup documents defining any critical assembly processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will be assigned to the Project or Quote Team. The Manufacturing Engineer will attend all design reviews and FMEA meetings. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to and receives direction from their designated manager and plays a critical role in bridging upfront planning with successful project execution. By contributing to early-stage concept and quoting efforts as well as supporting ongoing production needs, this role helps ensure solutions are both manufacturable and cost-effective-delivering value from concept through completion. Key (Essential) Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1) Assists in the design for manufacturability process for in process concepts early in the Applications Engineering process to: - Better identify process steps required for critical assemblies to improve accuracy and be more proactive in the concept phase, teaching good manufacturing principles to the Applications Engineering Dept. along the way. - Assist Applications Engineer(s) in identifying in house or outside resources and prepare upfront - recommend key suppliers and interface with Apps Manager & purchasing group as needed. - Assist Applications Engineer(s) in quoting/adjusting labor hours with more operational ownership before a PO is obtained. Contribute to the improvement of costing tools as needed. - Better identify quality checks and labor required prior to obtaining orders. 2) Analyzes the Client Proposal/SOW and customer specifications. 3) Monitors the equipment design for the producibility of the component relative to cost and schedule. 4) Reviews the BOM stock sizes relative to manufacturing processes. 5) Enters material specifications into the ERP system. 6) Creates a manufacturing package including routings, assembly requirements, QMS requirements, and any EHS (Environment Health and Safety) requirements. 7) Develops time standards per operation, including piece parts, mechanical and controls assembly. 8) Attends design reviews, both internal and customer offering design support. 9) Utilizes SolidWorks and PDM Pro to create the manufacturing plan. 10) Utilizes SolidCam to support machining with programs. 11) Supports the Design FMEA and DFM processes as the design progresses. 12) Supports FAT and SAT as required. 13) Adheres to Quality Management Systems. 14) Travel to customer site as necessary, assist with installation, trouble shooting, and machine set-up as needed. 15) It is the responsibility of all employees to be aware of client quality policy, objectives, guiding principles and departmental work instructions relative to their position. All employees have a role in quality and the performance of each employee directly impacts the financial goals of Client and customer satisfaction. 16) Regular and predictable attendance. Additional (Non-Essential) Responsibilities: 1. Consults with design engineers on projects received. 2. Reviews changes in project scope and/or delivery caused by either the customer or Client. 3. Demonstrate financial acumen appropriate for this position. 4. Performs other duties as required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred. 2. Strong background in controls. 3. Strong exposure to job shop activities (particularly welding/fabrication, precision machining, and assembly/debug of automation and tooling solutions). 4. Ability to work harmoniously with others. 5. Demonstrated abilities associated with assembly automaton and/or engineering design activities. 6. Proficient computer skills using SolidWorks, Electrical Auto Cad, Word, Spreadsheets, and ERP/MRP software. 7. Controls Engineer

Our Controls Engineer develops and programs custom automated equipment and provides technical support to external and internal customers. They analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations to support design, including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, PLC, and servo controls. Your Role • Meets with Mechanical Engineers, customers, and DT Engineering management to discuss the design and function of the customer machine. • Development of controls architecture for medium single module machines or assist on large multi-module machines. • Program control systems for servo, robotic and air operated stations, along with test and electrical devices with minimum assistance. • Ensure the electrical design is functional, robust, and cost effective. • Travels to customer site as needed for install or service (10%). • Maintain project scope and identify scope creep. • Guide electrical technicians in wiring and codes.
