Aircraft Mechanic I

GLSS, has an immediate open for an Aircraft Mechanic I, to support on-going efforts at Little Rock, AR. Military experience is a plus. Job Description: This mechanic applies a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train, and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, as required to meet the assigned missions. Makes repairs to aircraft and follows the direction of higher-graded workers. The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power units, and ventilation and heating systems. Duties: • This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings, fuselage, functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units, by using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills. • This worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airlines maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. • Work involves replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, engine-mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves, by using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. • Removes engines from aircraft using a hoist or forklift truck, disassembles and inspects parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairs or replaces defective engine parts. • Reassembles and installs engines in aircraft. • This mechanic adjust, repair, or replace the electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections. • Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing the crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. • Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft. • Enters in the maintenance records and description of the work performed. • Verifies satisfactorily service engines and airframe components at the line station. • Makes repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. • Specializing in the repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and specializing in engine repair. Qualifications: • May require a license from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). • May require specialization in sheet metal, electric work, avionics, or other aircraft systems-related disciplines. • A&P License or a Military Service School Certificate of Training in Aviation Maintenance desirable. • High School diploma or equivalent. Mechanical Engineer or Designer

Mechanical Engineer or Designer Position Purpose The Mechanical Engineer or Designer will design and develop specifications of air distribution, hydronic piping and HVAC control systems and heating and cooling load calculations for various environments. They will work closely with architects, engineers and builders during the construction phase. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Qualifications / Prior Experience • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. • PE license preferred • 8+ years' experience in HVAC Systems, Field Surveys and Construction punch lists. • Experience in Plumbing design is a plus. • Proficiency in Revit is required.
