Mechanical Service Technician

Description Position Details Title: MECHANICAL SERVICE TECH / MECHANIC Location: Cleveland, OH Shift or Travel: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts | Approximately two days per week on the road; no regular overnight travel Compensation: $25-$40/hr + OT Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life & LTD, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and sick time; on-the-job learning and paid training; premium service trucks provided Travel: Local travel within Southern OH, Southern IN, and Northern KY; occasional travel to other nearby service regions Position Description: • Perform in-shop and field repairs on a variety of vocational work trucks • Conduct field demonstrations and customer training on proper equipment use • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for clients • Maintain and prepare equipment for operation • Work with the service team based in Cincinnati, with supplemental support from Cleveland and Detroit-based technicians Requirements: • Prior Mechanic/Technician experience required • Welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and millwright experience a plus • Familiarity with CANbus systems is a plus • Experience servicing refuse/garbage trucks, sewer jetting and vacuum trucks (e.g., Vactor, Super Products, Vac-Con, GapVax), and street sweepers is helpful but not mandatory • High school diploma or GED • Valid driver's license required • Must have or be willing to obtain a Class B CDL (training and cost covered) • Must supply basic tools (specialty tools provided)

Responsibilities Job Summary Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Designer at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations, the Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for the mechanical design of various molds, dies and fixtures. This position is responsible for producing designs in the form of CAD models, design drawings, and ancillary documentation necessary for the manufacturing of various tooling for both internal and external suppliers. To satisfy customer requirement the incumbent will work both independently while collaborating with the design team and manufacturing as needed. Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks, and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines, and cleaner power generation. Job Responsibilities • Interprets customer part and tooling specifications provided. • Creates 3-D solid CAD models with Siemens NX, Unigraphics to meet customer specifications. • Creates fully annotated engineering drawing details required for manufacturing. • Collaborates with the customers Product Engineers for design development and final approvals. • Collaborates with NC Programmers and Die Makers to ensure the DFM considerations are achieved. • Maintains all required project documentation, approvals, process flow, time logs, etc. • Meets deadlines for scheduled deliverables, eg design approvals, BOM's, design drawings, etc. • Incorporating of various material types and purchased components into designs, as appropriate.
