Qualifications Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program. • BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. • PE license Preferred : • 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm. • Knowledge and experience with ASHRAE standards, IPC, IMC, and IECC codes. • Proficient in all conventional aspects of mechanical engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. • Experience in the following markets: federal, healthcare, laboratory, and corporate commercial/mixed use. • Experience with LEED and sustainable design projects. • Documented experience in aesthetically challenging designs with high profile architecture firms. • Analyze equipment energy use for optimizing systems. • Ability to work on and lead multiple projects concurrently. • Excellent communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confident. • Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills. • Project-related travel may occasionally be required for this position.
