Senior Structural Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS: • General description: FEM calculation of different structures to support the design of the mechanical components and tooling on multi-megawatt platform. • Simulation and calculation for the further development, design and verification of steel construction and mechanical components of wind turbines. • Close cooperation and regular exchange with other development and specialist departments, component manufacturers and certification. • Development of new development concepts in compliance with valid standards and regulations and their interpretation regulations as well as technology transfer to the development departments. • Development of structural components taking into account all phases of the life cycle (end to end) and support for root cause determination of field topics. • Development and documentation of calculation methods for the continuous improvement of the team. YOUR PROFILE: • Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical). • Complementary Training: Mandatory calculation by finite element method. • Excellent knowledge of analytics / statics / dynamics and reliable abstraction of physical operating principles. • Sound knowledge and experience in the design of steel construction and mechanical engineering components, considering valid standards and regulations for wind turbines, especially EUROCODE. • Knowledge of fatigue analysis methods and structure dynamics. • Advanced programming and development of analysis tools (MathCad, Matlab, Python). • Flexibility and dynamism in the execution of tasks. Ability to work as a team and transverse communication. • Optionally desirable programming competencies. • Languages/Level: English. Industrial Engineer

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Establish and maintain effective cost reduction and control activities in an independent environment. Responsible for standards program. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Develop and maintain engineered methods, written standard practices, time studies and similar recognized techniques necessary for the continuing validity of labor and material standards. Monitor the plant’s performance measuring system. Advise and counsel line supervision in the use of the system and recommend appropriate changes. Provide the necessary information and data for the proper preparation, issuance and maintenance of the plant’s product route sheets. Evaluate the effective utilization of company machinery, equipment and manpower. Make recommendations to Process Engineering Manager. Maintain equipment capability manuals. Prepare economic analysis and cost justifications. Evaluate and maintain plant layout and evaluate material flow systems. Install and administer various systems for controlling and reporting costs and performances. Maintain and audit manufacturing SOPs. Perform special assignments on a project basis. Incorporate SPC methodology and/or other statistical methods to quantify manufacturing process control. EXPERIENCE Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment with the ability to develop and implement sound lean manufacturing practices. Experience with ProE (or equivalent) and AutoCAD design software. Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Experience with a Resource Management System is desired. Previous experience in process design and/or modification is desired. Experience with fixture design and knowledge of machining practices. Previous "Lean" manufacturing experience and exposure to diverse manufacturing processes and materials also desired.
