Shop Mechanic Job Description The role of Shop Mechanic involves inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing farm and agricultural equipment. This includes pre-delivery inspections, ordering parts, preparing repair estimates, and completing jobs and repair estimates. Key Responsibilities: • Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair farm and agricultural equipment • Order parts and prepare repair estimates • Complete jobs and repair estimates • Keep work areas clean and orderly • Work in a safe manner • Comply with company policies and government regulations Required Skills and Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years or more mechanic experience working on heavy/construction/compact construction equipment or similar. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required, and technical or vocational degree in mechanical field is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will also have strong communication skills, willingness to learn, basic math skills, self-motivation, and physical ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
